I’m one of the many Filipino nurses who were given a chance to study, work and train in the United States but one of the few who decided to return in our country to share what I have learned. One of the cheering is to establish NC-CLEX, NC-CLEX is Nursing Center for Clinical Laboratory Experience.
NC CLEX or Nursing Center for clinical laboratory experience was established 15 years ago, to set global standard for Filipino nursing excellence. We use what we called a Trans-Approach, a position and transformation of realistic and advance nursing skills using scenario after the encounter of the current standards of nursing practice in the United States.
To make sure that we are conforming with the global standards and of course in the United States, we are accredited by California Board of Nursing for our advance cardiac life support, pediatric advance life support, and for our – the rest, we use the American Safety Health Institute of Medication; likewise we follow the standards of treatment here to infuse in our society, for our gerontology and of course our long term nurse application program, we’re also govern by erotological society of the nurses. And to make sure that we are conforming the general standards, we are also using the Joint Commission International standards properly.
We welcome you to our trans-lab where we have the most modern and current equipment or instrument being use in the United States. We don’t allow the students to imagine if we don’t have our pacemaker, we are going to show them the actual pacemaker may it be temporary or permanent, being the latest mechanical ventilator; we have IV Pumps, we have PCA Pumps, we have Blood Warmer, we have Electrical Feeding Pumps and more or less it’s about 400-500 in some of the hospitals here in the Philippines don’t even have.
Good day and welcome to NC-CLEX. My name is Eugene and I’m one of the junior instructors here. Now NC-CLEX offers various training programs in carrying patients across their lifespan and one of the sought after training is what we call Gerontology Nursing Training Program or Nursing Home Care. Now, nursing home care tackles regarding current issues such as chastening, colostomy, caring patients with integral feeding and NGE and also with care and pay management.
Good day. I am Alfon and I am also one of the junior instructors here in NC-CLEX. In conjunction in what Eugene has just stated, NC Clex also offered ACLS Cardiac Life Support which is common pre-requisite for clinical birth both here and abroad. Our ACLS is comprised of basic life support, basic ECG Reading, [inaudible], incubation, and radio garbology. Alongside with basic life support, would be relief of [inaudible] or Foreign Blocking Area of Instruction and the actual manipulation of BED’s or Automated External Defibrillators and Bio-Basic Defibrillators. Now all of these will be summed up in our interactive learning experience or popular in terms as a mega code which will be held in a tenth day. Now, these are some of the courses that NC-CLEX offers and we hope to see you soon here in NC-CLEX so as you would also become nurse balikbayans.
We have several programs for the nursing students and of course the registered nurses. First program we offer is called OVAL — this is an Onsite Dedicated for Advance Clinical Learning, learning by the student spend a whole day with us and we are going to show and discuss to them about 300 to 400 equipment currently use in. In response to a very long passing rate our local board examination for NLE. NC-CLEX also offer the LEAP Program its local board examination enhancement program which your passing performance wherein we are able to gather the most common clinical skills. The program will help the students to remember the concept structure for we are going to discuss, we are going to demonstrate and anytime demonstrate. We also offer the PREP— this is portable RLE enhancement program, is also patterned after the KMO 14. We are going to go to the school in universities and we will bring all the equipments needed so that it will be an enhancement program for students like we can offer the Electrical Feeding Pump, The PCA Pump, the blood warmers again, the pacemaker temporary and again they don’t allow them to imagine. They will be showing and demonstration with regard demonstration.
For our registered nurses we offer them Post- Graduate Programs – all programs that are patterned after the standards of care and practices in United States so nurses who are contemplating to the NC-CLEX class; these is the idea of preparation for them because NC-CLEX cad is like base on memorization but rather base on clinical practice for our last three years. We offer advance cardio clinic support, we have the gerontological nurse program [inaudible] program. We have physical assessment and documentation, even on documentation you will be surprise that they are now using the automated portion wherein everything is using the bar coding.
